Face Frame Construction:

Face Frame

Cabinet Front frames are constructed from 3/4″ X 1 1/2″ select solid hardwood to match the door and drawer front.  The front frames are joined by using glue and steel screws for maximum strength and squareness.  Front frames are dadoed to accept the end panels, floor and top.  On all two door cabinets the center stile is 1 1/2″ wide.


Regular Overlay:

Regular Overlay styling features the door overlaying 1/2″ of the face frame, allowing a 1″ reveal on each side of a single door cabinet and a 1/2″ reveal between doors on two door cabinets.  On butt door cabinets the spacing is approximately 1/8″ between doors.


Full Overlay:

Full Overlay styling features the door covering all but 1/4″ of the face frame, allowing a 1/4″ reveal on each sideof the door on single door cabinets and 1/2″ reveal between doors on a two door cabinet.  On butt door cabinets the spacing is approximately 1/8″ between doors.


Flush Inset:

Inset Reveals 1

Flush Inset styling features the door being fully recessed into the face frame so that the door is flush with the front of the face frame.  All flush inset frames feature a 1 1/2″ frame members.  Doors will have a slight back bevel on the side opposite the hinge.


Beaded Inset:

Beaded Inset styling features the door being fully recessed into the face frame so that the door is flush with the face frame.  The interior portion of the face frame opening will have a 1/4″ machined, integral bead.  All beaded inset face frames feature a 1 1/2″ frame members.  Doors will have a slight back bevel on the side opposite the hinge.  On butt door cabinets the spacing is approximately 1/8″ between doors.
